    Speaker Bio - Deborah Colby - VP of Marketing, First Tech Credit Union

    Deborah Colby is the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for First Tech Credit Union, a $1.9 billion institution headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. First Tech serves the financial needs of 159,000 members in Oregon and Washington including employees of innovative, industry leading companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Nike.

    Deborah is an Oregon native that has worked in marketing for 20 years, mostly in the financial services industry, but also in sports and event marketing. Deborah is currently finishing dual degrees in Global Business Management and International Marketing and intends to pursue her Master¹s Degree in Organizational Behavior.

    Speaker Bio - Laura Patterson - President, VisionEdge Marketing and Author of “Marketing Metrics in Action”

    In 1999, Laura Patterson co-founded VisionEdge Marketing (VEM), a strategic and product marketing firm that specializes in marketing performance measurement and management. She leverages her 30 years of sales and marketing experience to help VEM customers improve their marketing performance and create a competitive advantage to attract, secure and retain profitable customers. Having worked primarily for engineers and accountants throughout her career at firms such as Alex Sheshunoff, Evolutionary Technologies, Motorola and State Farm, data, analytics, and metrics have been a part of career survival and what lead developing a core practice in marketing performance measurement and management.

    Laura is a frequent speaker on marketing accountability, metrics and analytics at universities and associations, such as Purdue University, Stanford University, Tuck’s School of Business, and the University of Texas at Austin, the ACB, the ANA, the BMA, CESSE, and LIMRA. Various publications leverage her expertise for articles and webinars and her third book Marketing Metrics in Action – Creating a Performance Driven Marketing Organization (Racom Books, 2008) was just released. Laura earned her master’s degree from the University of South Florida and her bachelor’s degree Truman State University.

    Speaker Bio - Adam Bloom - Director of Product Marketing, MarketingCentral (a Division of Unica)

    Adam has spent the past 12 years at leading companies in the internet marketing, CRM, and marketing automation industry.

    He currently runs product marketing for MarketingCentral (a division of Unica - the worldwide leader in enterprise marketing management software). Prior to Unica, Adam was a Director at PodShow (downloadable/streaming/social media network) - he managed video and ad-network campaigns for clients such as Coca Cola, K-Mart, Sony Playstation, Partida Tequila, and several others.

    Adam led the Marketing Operations team at Siebel Systems, led the acquisition efforts for Oracle marketing, and was asked to develop the business case for implementing Siebel CRM at Oracle. He then led the worldwide implementation of Siebel CRM at Oracle - the marketing operation manages hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing expenses and produces over one million leads annually.

    Prior to Siebel and Oracle, Adam played sales and product marketing roles at an early CRM-oriented ASP who's clients included Maytag, Avon, Autotrader.com, and others. He also launched the first two versions of WebMD.com, led several projects for Chase.com, won multiple awards from the International Television Association for multimedia, and has developed a variety of other websites and applications.

    Adam is passionate about marketing, technology, and inventing new ways of doing things. He has also started a few small businesses since graduating with high honors from Georgia Tech in 1996. Adam lives with his wonderful wife in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys playing and listening to music, enjoying design and art, spending time with friends, cooking, walking the dogs, reading and learning, playing various outdoor sports, blogging and being an internet junkie, and observing consumerism in action.
